Produced in the regions of Burgundy- Franche-Comté, Morbier and Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes. Made from unpasteurized (raw) cow´s milk.

A thin pink, orange crust, with a thick, smooth centre. It has Appellation d’Origine Controlee (AOC).

Its black charcoal line running through, a visual element linked to its history (originally to separate the morning milk from the afternoon milk): the layers have a different taste, the afternoon milk a little fruitier, with notes of vanilla and caramel pudding.
